Q - How do I find out when a PaysonCHIP event will be held?
A - Go to the Calendar page of this website. If you don't see anything,
go the contacts page and leave a message.
Q - How much does it cost to have my child identified?
A - There is no charge.
Q - How long does it take to have my child identified?
A - About 10 minutes is all it takes.
Q - Are microchips implanted into my child?
A - Certainly not! "Chip" is an acronym for Child Identification Program
Q - How is DNA collected?
A - A cotton swab is used to retrieve a saliva sample from the inside of the child's mouth.
Q - What information should I bring?
A - Bring the following;
Parent(s) phone number(s)
Medical Information
Doctor name/address/phone
Dentist name/address/phone
Emergency contact information (name/phone)
Q - How safe is my personal information?
A - The PaysonCHIP program retains none of the information, data or samples collected at the event.
All information is provided in the packet sent home with the family.
The data entered into the computer used is deleted when the process is completed.
Lost data CANNOT be reproduced so keep it safe.
If it's damaged or lost, the process must be repeated.
Q - Can I drop my child off and pick him/her up later?
A - No. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Q - Can I haave a duplicate packet created to give to my former spouse?
A - Depending on the backlog at the event, this could be accomplished.
Q - Can I hold a PaysonCHIP event at my church or school?
A - Go to the contacts page and contact a coordinator by phone or email.
Q - Do you do private corporate events?
A - Go to the contacts page and contact a coordinator by phone or email.
Q - Can I volunteer at PaysonCHIP events?
A - Sure! Go to the contacts page and contact a coordinator by phone or email.
Q - Do you take donations?
A - We would be most grateful! While there is no cost to parents for this service,
the required equipment is expensive and expenses associated wtih
replacing disposable items (paper, printer ink, etc) mount.
